Treetops is the original tree lodge, and is world famous for its location facing a water hole and a salt lick on the edge of the Salient area of the Aberdare National Park, set on stilts overlooking a floodlit waterhole and salt lick visited by a variety of animals each night. The lodge lies at 6,450 feet above sea level. It has 4 decks and a rooftop-viewing platform.
Set in the heart of the Salient area of the forested Aberdare National Park, at 2286 meters/7500 feet altitude, The Ark overlooks a glade with a floodlit waterhole and salt lick which attracts a host of wildlife. Elephant, rhino, buffalo, leopard, bushbuck, giant forest hog, warthog, waterbuck and hyena are among the animals seen on a regular basis.
