LAKE NAIVASHA ACCOMMODATION
The Great Rift Valley Lodge and Golf Resort borrow its name from the stunning land it sits on. The Great Rift Valley is one of the greatest natural structures on earth, visible from outer space, stretching 5,500 kilometers, spanning two continents from Jordan in the Middle East, through Kenya in East Africa to Mozambique in Africa. Every view from the room shows a facet of the Valley’s dynamic vistas. Built around an 18-hole golf course, the lodge is leisurely set on a wide expanse of the massif.
On the southern shores of Lake Naivasha is Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge. The lake is the only freshwater lake within Africa's Great Rift Valley. The lake teems with freshwater fish and bathing hippo. Here the avid bird watcher sees paradise in a vast array of exotic bird life. The lake region is host to distinctive herds of plains game and the elusive black faced colobus monkey. Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge has panoramic views of the environs and the lake.

Lake Naivasha Country Club is situated on the southern shores of Lake Naivasha and was once the gateway to Kenya when the British Overseas Airways flying boats used to land there following the Nile south. The public areas are in a single storey building with a long, shady verandah along the front. The lounge is cosy and comfortable with a magnificent fireplace and the dining room light and airy at one end of the spacious verandah.
Crater Lake Tented Camp is situated within the Crater Lake Game Sanctuary, just off the south western shores of Lake Naivasha. The Crater is volcanic in origin with a beautiful emerald green lake encircled by yellow barked acacia trees in the center. Colobus monkey, waterbuck, dik-dik and leopard are resident here.
